February 18, 2025: Thirty-five percent (35%) of voters know what DOGE means. This is a significant increase from 19% in December.

A Napolitan News Service national survey also found that 36% say DOGE (Department of Government Efficiency), led by Elon Musk, has gone too far. Twenty-five percent (25%) say DOGE has not gone far enough, and 19% say the effort has been right.

Methodology

The survey of 1,000 registered voters was conducted online by Scott Rasmussen on February 10-11, 2025. Fieldwork for the survey was conducted by RMG Research, Inc. Certain quotas were applied, and the sample was lightly weighted by geography, gender, age, race, education, internet usage, and political party to reasonably reflect the nation’s population of registered voters. Other variables were reviewed to ensure that the final sample is representative of that population. The margin of sampling error for the full sample is +/- 3.1 percentage points.

Scott Rasmussen is the president of RMG Research, Inc.
